Are you Interested in researching your family history? Do you need some help? Have you found interesting information about your family you would like to share? Are you interested in learning from other local researchers about new information sources and research techniques?
The Estes Park Genealogical Society meets in the library January through November, from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m., on the second Thursday of the month. All are welcome to attend the meetings, share your family history research experiences, and learn from experienced members of the society. In addition to the regularly scheduled monthly meetings a fall seminar series for beginning family researchers is held in September and October.
Society members are available at the library each week, Tuesdays from 7pm to 9pm and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to Noon, to help family history researchers with questions they may have, and to assist with suggestions, tips, and forms to facilitate their research.
Doing genealogy means ‘doing’ history. Our ancestors were eyewitnesses to the events we read about in history books. Come and join the Estes Park Genealogy Society members in pursuing this fascinating hobby!
